6 KEY PROJECT DETAILS

Information to Prepare Before Material Selection

Artwork and Hidden Message Product drawing, label artwork, custom logo, VOID wording or required warning message.
Application Surface Actual substrate such as carton, plastic, glass, metal, painted surface or low-energy material.
Printing and Converting Method Printing equipment, ink type, surface coating requirement and final converting process.
Required VOID Effect Full-transfer, partial-transfer or non-transfer behavior and the required security-performance level.
Sample and Delivery Schedule Required sample-testing date, order schedule and expected bulk-production delivery time.
Finished Delivery Format Roll width, roll length, core size, sheet format, release liner or finished label specification.
What is the difference between full-transfer, partial-transfer and non-transfer VOID materials?

Full-transfer material leaves most or all of the hidden message and adhesive residue on the application surface after removal. It is generally selected when strong and highly visible tamper evidence is required.

Partial-transfer material divides the security message between the label film and the application surface. It provides visible evidence while maintaining a more balanced appearance.

Non-transfer material reveals the hidden message mainly on the label film without leaving visible residue on the selected application surface. It is commonly used for premium packaging, electronics, camera lenses and sensitive surfaces.

Can the hidden VOID message, logo or warning text be customized?

Yes. Standard hidden messages such as VOID, OPENED and STOP can be supplied, while customized logos, brand names, warning text, symbols and repeated security patterns can also be developed.

The final hidden-message structure depends on the artwork, production width, pattern size, transfer type and required visual effect after removal.

Which application surfaces are suitable for VOID label materials?

VOID label materials can be developed for coated cartons, corrugated boxes, plastics, painted metal, glass, electronics, rigid packaging and many other surfaces.

Surface energy, roughness, contamination, coating type and temperature conditions can all affect adhesion and reveal performance. Testing on the actual application surface is strongly recommended before bulk production.

Which printing methods are compatible with printable PET VOID materials?

Printable PET VOID materials can be prepared for flexographic, screen, offset, thermal-transfer and UV digital printing.

Specialized surface coatings may also be required for HP Indigo, Xeikon, dry-toner and inkjet systems. Printer model, ink chemistry, curing method and required durability should be confirmed before material selection.

Can the material be supplied in master rolls, slit rolls, sheets or finished labels?

Yes. Material can be supplied as master rolls for coating or converting, customized slit rolls for printing equipment, sheets for smaller production requirements or finished die-cut labels.

Roll width, roll length, core size, winding direction, liner type and packaging format can be prepared according to the customer’s equipment and production process.

Can samples be tested before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Standard stock samples or suitable material samples can be provided for application testing, printing evaluation and VOID reveal-effect confirmation.

Customers should test the material on the actual product surface under realistic temperature, pressure, dwell time and removal conditions before final approval.

How quickly can stock materials and samples be dispatched?

Selected standard films and VOID label materials are maintained in stock. Available stock materials can normally be prepared for dispatch within 24 hours after specification and order confirmation.

Customized materials require additional time for artwork, plate making, coating, printing, adhesive lamination, inspection and converting.

What information is required to recommend the correct material?

The most useful information includes the actual application surface, expected transfer effect, printing method, film color, adhesive requirement, environmental conditions and final roll or sheet specification.

A photograph of the application surface, an existing sample or a short video of the current problem can also help the technical team make a more accurate recommendation.
